This one of a kind B.C. jade carving by Canadian artist Tony Wu features a walking 3.5″ jade bear with a fish in it’s mouth mounted on a smooth stone base. The bear has chatoyant marbling and is carved from the bright, translucent green jade that is often referred to as “Polar Jade” as the Polar Jade Mine is famous for producing this quality of jade. The bear is approximately 6.5 cm high, 11 cm long and 5.5 cm wide and sits on a stone base naturally smoothed by rushing river water approximately 5 x 18 x 10 cm. The bear is numbered and signed by the artist on it’s foot, and comes with certificate signed by the artist.
Approximate size of the complete carving 12 x 18 x 10 cm.
