Rhodonite bracelet strung with 4mm beads and fresh water pearls. Gold plated spring ring clasp. Approximate length 8″.
This soft glowing pink stone is found mainly on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Rhodonite derives its name from the Greek word “rhodo” meaning “rose”. Its pinkish colour is often veined with black patterns and lines of manganese oxide, sometimes accompanied with visible traces of gold. This stone with its hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale is excellent for producing very attractive carvings and jewellery.
