Since ancient times, the worry stone has been used to decrease worries. These beautiful carved marble and onyx stones fit nicely in the hand and in a pocket. The thumb sized indent is perfect for rubbing your worries away. No two pieces are alike, each one will slightly vary in size, shape and colour but are approximately 5.2 x 3.2 x 0.5 cm (2 x 1.25 x 0.2″). Price is per stone.
Onyx is a variety of chalcedony or microcrystalline quartz which is formed in the gas cavities of lava. Generally, most onyx has a parallel banding structure (as opposed to agate which is more irregular), however black onyx doesn’t tend to have this characteristic banding.
Onyx is used to strengthen self-discipline and increased self-confidence.
Marble is a rock resulting from metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock. Metamorphism causes variable re-crystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains. The resulting marble rock is typically composed of an interlocking mosaic of carbonate crystals.
In the metaphysical community some believe marble helps with serenity and meditation.
