This smooth, highly polished Blue Moonstone was carved into a point. Crystal points are often used to direct energies through the apex of a point.
As these are made from natural stones, colours and patterns will vary.
This variety of alkali feldspar is of the orthoclase variety. As magma gradually cools, albite within the mineral forms alternating layers which create a shimmering glow known as adularescence. The quality of moonstone varies and may range from a light milky glow to a bright blue glow, with the highest quality displaying a rainbow sheen. Moonstone occurs within igneous rocks such as pegmatite and granite.
As a healing stone, moonstone is thought to enhance intuitive sensitivity, relieve anxiety, stress and over-reaction.
