The Eagle is respected for its intelligence and power, as well as its extraordinary vision, in both literal and figurative sense. Eagles in myth are, likewise, usually noble characters. Eagle spirits are associated with lofty ideals and the pursuit of freedom.
Corrine Hunt, born in 1959 in Alert Bay, British Columbia, is a member of the Raven Gwa’wina clan from Ts’akis, a Komoyue village on Vancouver Island. For over 25 years, Corrine has created hand crafted jewellery, accessories, art installations and furniture. She also co-designed the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic medals.
